Measuring Globalisation - The KOF IndexThis is the powerpoint about the KOF Index. I've also added in a link to a blog that I found that critically analyses the KOF Index, plus the website for KOF itself. They should help give you ideas for the writing task (click the buttons!)

What is the global "core"?
In the World we have countries at very different levels of development to one another. But how do we categorise these countries? Is it possible to identify the countries that are richer and poorer? more or less developed? and if so, where do we set the dividing line? In this section we will explore these questions and look at theories by Brandt (North - South divide), Wallerstein (World Systems Theory) and Clarke-Fisher (employment sector change). You will also have a go at identifying the countries that you believe make up the global core.
