In Geography you learn about all of the important issues of the 21st Century such as climate change, water security, rising food costs, increasing pollution and a growing global population. The Diploma ProgramYou can choose two paths in Geography, the Higher Level Course or the Standard Level Course. The difference is not so much how good you feel you are at Geography, but more about how much you like the subject. The details below will help you understand the difference.
The CoreAll students study the core and its four sections.
OptionsStudents get some choice in their options as a class. There must be one option on a subject that can be used to carry out the coursework for the diploma (The Internal Assessment or 'IA'). Standard Level students study 2 of the 7 options, Higher Level students follow 3.
