Objective 1: Explain the concept of Biodiversity in tropical rainforests
Biodiversity is the "totality of genes, species and ecosystems in a given area" or more simply, how many different living things are there. Biodiversity changes between different parts of the world and is influenced amongst other things by climate, altitude and of course humans. In this section, we will explore and explain some of the factors that affect the level of biodiversity in an area. We will also look at Biomes, learning some of the major groups before focussing on the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.
